Rachel Crawford is an enrolled member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma, and grew up around Anadarko, OK. She presently resides in Norman, OK with her family, Billy, Benjamin, and Jonah Botone. She holds a bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma. Rachel is employed by the American Heart Association and in the last 8 years, she has spearheaded the new Native American cardiovascular health initiative in Oklahoma and New Mexico.
She is invested in the empowerment and future development of Native youth and dedicates her time to helping tribal families access resources. Rachel’s commitment to serving her community is exemplified by her engagement in the community where she serves on several boards and committees, including the Wichita Tribe Economic Development, the National Indian Women’s Health Resource Center, and the Big Brother Big Sisters of Oklahoma-Native American Advisory Council.
